From Agency to Corporate and Back Again…

In 1995, I graduated from Villanova University and began working as a junior copywriter on the Pizza Hut and DuPont Chemical accounts at Earle Palmer Brown in Philadelphia. Next, I learned more than I ever thought possible about insurance, banking, and hedge funds while working at a financial services marketing firm and attending Drexel Univeristy’s LeBow School of Business. When my heels started to wear, I moved on to a more casual creative shop on the Main Line.

Eventually, I landed at one of the top B2B ad agencies in the country – Schubert Communications. As Director of Copy and PR, I supported all of the agencies clients including industry leaders such as Hurst Jaws of Life, Affinity Insurance, Mars Electronics, Houghton International, and many more. Today, Schubert is one of my biggest clients.

My dual experience in both corporate marketing and ad agencies allows me to understand the pressures, challenges, and processes of each. In the corporate world, I experienced the daily chorus of meetings, approval processes, and product development snafus – I know this pain, firsthand. Agency life taught me how to push the envelope and work under near-impossible deadlines, so you can depend on me even when you’re in a tight jam. All of my experience has also given me a sweeping education about many types of products and dozens of industries so you don’t have to worry about holding my hand when giving me a new project.
